Happy 4th of July

Freedom comes in all sizes. For some countries they defend their freedoms internally while others depend on the support of other nations. At the end of the day the freedoms we all covet are unique to our cultures and desires. What is right for one country may not be quite the fit for others. In this day and age we see so many diverse cultures trying to define their nations direction and with the twenty four by seven media we all learn way too much information at times.

What would happen if each nation were to define and defend for themselves? Would that solve all of the problems we see across the planet? Of course not. There are nations and sometimes groups within nations who believe their philosophy and beliefs are the only way for all of mankind. Thus, the free world defends the rights of others to live in peace and govern their own countries as they see fit. Applying open democratic policies are never the same way between countries. Power of the people by the people. For the people ruled by governments who speak Deomcracy and practice non-open politics the formula for success is weak.

This dilema is ripe for political unrest and take over by those that want Democracy to fail. So when do the Powers To Be step back and allow natural order to take place and when do they jump in to defend the rights of those seeking a free and democractic rule? No one can answer this as it has been a staple question of 1000's of years.

Some would argue that we assume to much in the West and that the majority or populus decision of "we want freedom" is perhaps aggressive and that most might not want the Western States medling in their affairs. Of course this question only brings out ever more questions and thus the age old argument over who has the right to support and defend Freedom when outside of your own borders?

An interesting thought process as America enters another birthday.

We look forward to your comments.

Thinking about all of those soldiers and family members who gave the ultimate sacrafice for freedom. We pray for all of them today and on memorial day.
