If you are reading this entry to our blog then you know the Topic well. Twitter has taken the internet by storm. Sadly even Television (who this competes with) is promoting it live on the Hollywood trail of shows. From Oprah to Pete Carroll of the USC Trojans football team the Twitter Nation grows stronger and stronger. Can you imagine sitting at your MAC or PC and staring at the screen for a response? Or perhaps the perfect collection of 140 characters to suddenly pop up and captivate your brain for 10 seconds. Then it vanishes from the screen.
Well is this nuts or what? Hardly from a marketing perspective. This is social marketing at it's finest hour. Networking your business online requires a following or a list. Twitter is the most powerful social network we have seen to date that allows it's visitors to build followers while following others who also follow others. Confusing? Not for most. In fact, you are up in running in no less than 5 minutes and that's if you have to redo your description in your bio a couple of times.
So, can anyone really sit at the keyboard and screen and type rapid responses to potential clients? Can you write 140 characters at an instance and catch the people online right now? Perhaps. Some can and are quite good. Not sure this is the best use of their productive time on the net. But it can be done.
