The internet is such a vast communication database. Surfers can find just about anything and in face Everything imaginable. One of the most powerful leveraged components least understood is the Micro Blogging. What is this fascinating term? How can someone exploit it's incredible reach?
Micro Blogging is all about true social networking. Many web sites like ours have the ability to offer a visitor a place where they can start a conversation or topic in a forum that they in fact control. They develop the theme. They publish the forum on someone else web site and then other visitors who come to the main site can find them. Or more importantly, the chosen theme could be searched for from all corners of the earth and brought directly to this topic on the web site offering this as a service.
Think of Micro Blogging as an individuals footprint on the planet electronically able to compete with the MySpace and Facebooks and Stumblers at NO charge. Pretty cool way to launch an idea change a pattern of thinking or perhaps just write your life's story and find out who else agrees or disagrees with your views and opinions. Have a hot idea or product? Micro Blog It! You may get noticed by the big boys!
Always trying to look at simple yet innovative ways to solve big problems. Nice concept isn't it. So, let's tackle a real big one. The United States and thus the world are caught up in a very challenging financial crisis. Foreign investment in the USA is enormous with the dollars record low levels so if the banks were to implode the world would suffer enormous casualties financially.
So, what could have been done and quite frankly what can be done. The USA is staring at a homeless problem while the globe tries to protect it's financial concerns. What if everyone in the USA was given a 3 percent 20 year mortgage right now. Even foreclosed properties not sold yet would qualify. Take every single home owners mortgage to a flat 3 percent. The savings on a monthly basis would filer back into the commercial markets like a wave. High credit card interest could be converted or paid off with the monthly savings. In fact, make it a condition of the new loans.

To drill or not to drill that is the question. What if we took a slightly different slant to the Drill or Not Drill dilemma? Suppose for a moment that everyone agreed that getting off Oil is a good thing. We know everyone doesn't agree with this for economic reasons so lets leave that alone. But lets just say, that we all agreed that Solar and Wind were great starts with technology readily available and work force that is growing daily to support it.
So, in order to ramp up the capabilities of alternative energies like Solar and Wind we need a bit of runway of time to get it all in sync with our pocket books (personal budgets). Seems to me that the only way to keep a lid on current rising costs of energy in the normal format (oil) would be to flood the zone. Produce enough oil to keep inventories at levels placing an economic lever on the price. Then in 3-5 years we should have Solar and Wind solutions deployed in great numbers. With companies like A123Systems in the great state of MA we have the next generation of Hybrids (plug ins) already shipping.
So the issue isn't the technology capabilities it is the Time Factor to build enough infrastructure to supply and support the Residential and Commercial needs.
So, in my conclusion the answer is Drill and Drill and Drill. Thoughts?
Our country is confused, upset and looking for answers. When we look at both parties all we get is finger pointing and rumors. Where are the platforms with the plan? You and I can create a platform but this country needs a Plan Of Action. How will we get off the dependancy of oil? How will we provide Alternative Energy to every home and office building? We need a plan and we need it now.
Everyone I talk to is emersed in the smear campaigns because our media doesn't want good news. That never sells. Our media is gloating at the potential scandals that will come out of the closets of Alaska to DC. We know they will. They may not even be fully truthful if at all. But that's what we will get for our Campaign Dollars. Stop donating money. Stop giving either party a DIME. If you want to give up a DIME give it up to Cancer Research. Thats how the March of Dimes came to be. If everyone of us sent in 1 dime to Cancer Research there would not be how there would be a when!

Our kids are back in school now (or should be soon depending on your start dates) and are facing choices for their hard earned pennies in the school cafeteria. As parents we can only educate we cannot make them eat nutritionally when they step out the door.
Education and lifestyle choices are the key. If the grow up learning and eating healthy the transition to school choices is much easier. Think about it. When you go to buys something today you have a pretty good idea about the product or service. If you don't you can look it up online and provide yourself with an informed decision process.
This is exactly what we need to do for our kids and nutrition. Sadly, we cannot expect nor depend on the schools to properly provide or educate on nutrition. They are woefully under funded for such programs and their choices on dietary menus for lunch is limited and usually based on cost per unit not overall health and wellness.
Pack their nutrition 3-4 days a week. Give your child a green light for once a week to buy their lunch but load them up with at home knowledge and experience on how to make healthy choices in their lives.
On September 5th the Stars of Hollywood are uniting in what is being called Stand Up to Cancer. Headlining this extraordinary effort are Jennfier Aniston (whose aunt died of liver cancer), Sidney Portier (a prostate cancer survivor) and Terrence Howard (his mother has stage 4 colon cancer). They unite to help raise awareness to new levels in the fight against cancer. We all have a stake in this whether direct or indirectly affected by this disease.
