The Election of 2008

In Denver we are seeing a gathering of the confused.  On the one hand you have a junior Senator who has mass appeal accross the country among the young and middle aged of the population.  Then when you step inside of the Democratic Party you see a huge divide.  Those that still think that Hillary Clinton was a better choice and of course those that believe Obama truly represents change which most in the country would appeal to.

So now you have the Clinton family announcing their true support for this young energetic candidate who just 2 months ago was ill equipped to run the country and would sleep through a nuclear attack if it occured at 2 or 3a.m. in the morning.  Did something suddenly change?  We are not trying to say that Obama is unfit.  On the contrary.  We do believe the Democratic Party was in error when they were unable to unite the Party like the McCain camp was able to do throughout the year.  (for the most part).

Now you have a country questioning integrity of the Clintons and capabilities of the Obama Team.  It's going to really come blasting out on TV and the GOP Convention shortly.  It's obvious and it's all true.  This country needs change.  We need to move in a new direction.  We have tremendous enemies from an economic and war fighter perspective.  Traversing the next 4 to 8 years is going to take an individual with incredible patience and trust in cabinet.  

Obama?  McCain?   Choice C?  You make the call

Amazon.Com : Kindle

Our eBook is off to a nice start.  Initial reviews are very friendly.  Some good advice and we are working on a concept to version two already.  That's at least six months off!  Today we uploaded the Amazon.Com Kindle version.  We have not personally procured the Kindle but I saw it on a flight recently and found it to be a great potential source for additional distribution options for the eBook, The Berry Great Fitness Guide.

This little device (10 ounces or so) was easy to read in any lighting.  The person next to me let me thumb through it and he had Newspapers (Wall Street Journal) and 10 books from James Patterson to How To Books.  I showed him my eBook in PDF format on the laptop and he said that the Kindle might be a good source as a platform for distribution.

So, with the assistance of a great HTML Coder (Joshua Tallent) for the Kindle at Kindle Formatting I was able to take the WORD Doc format to the proper Kindle format.  Joshua was incredibly flexible and delivered in record time!  I think I was slowing him down.  His pricing is reasonable and he quotes you up front.  I got exactly what I was hoping for and now have uploaded to the Amazon.Com site.  From what I understand the upload and setup can take from 12 to 72 hours so some time this week we should see the Kindle version of The Berry Great Fitness Guid online!

Well, we thought by now we would all be celebrating the great summer of 2008 and all the great news of NetAudioAds V2P or Pay Per Play. The company estimated it's launch for Feb 1st 2008 and as we speak the ads are still not quite there.

Several reasons have been discussed as of late but no new date is available as to when the Real Company will hit the market and we can begin to see the fomation of the promises we were all give back in 2007. Now, in defense of the company they have asked nothing of us. Well, not exactly. We did install their code on our sites. We did subject our customers to audio test ads and we have hung in there awaiting the management team to get it together.

So, will they make it? Can this current management team take the company to the next level? This is the key. If they execute quickly now with high quality and measurable results then they can re-group the tone of the Publishers (like Planet Berry) and get this back on track. Timing is key. Time will tell.

Dawg Days Of Summer

We turn the corner of Summer and head into the tail end or as we like to call it the Dawg Days of Summer.  The heat is on the kids are getting anxious for school to start (ha ha) and depending the age of your family all sorts of chaos is surrounding each and every day.

If you are one of the lucky families that had enough stashed away in the hidden jar to pay the Gas Tax this summer perhaps you are sitting with your feet in the ocean or lake and drifting away as we all should be. Relaxing on another Jimmy Buffet sunset in Paradise.

Don't forget to check the kids to-do lists from last May/June.  Some may have some reading assignments for the start of the new year.  As most kids will put it off till the night before this is just a friendly reminder to shake their backpacks and see if anything new falls out for the upcoming school year.

First Ever eBook Arrives

It only took about 9 months but the first-ever Planet Berry eBook has arrived. When you start to right a book on a topic you care about the challenge is to be different. Or at least think you are.
